Theme: Inspired to Create
Incredible opportunity to reignite your creativity.

The annual Wordsowers Retreat/Write-In will be at Mahoney State Park, located at 28500 W. Park Highway, Ashland, NE 68003. Meet in the Cedar Room on the main floor of the Peter Kiewit Lodge from 9:00 a.m. to *5:00 p.m. The cost is $10.00 per person; however, you will need to purchase a day pass for $7.00 if you don’t already have a state park sticker.

A continental breakfast (pastries and fruit, plus some gluten-free options) will be served, along with coffee, decaf coffee, tea, juice, and bottled water. **You will need to bring a sack lunch and a preferred beverage for the noon meal. A popcorn bar will be available in the afternoon.

After breakfast, we’ll spend a few minutes in worship and in the Word of God based on the theme, “Inspired to Create.” Be sure to bring your laptop and/or pen and paper, along with a writing project. Around 10:00 a.m., writers are encouraged to go their separate ways throughout the park to write for a couple of hours. We’ll return to the Cedar Room for lunch and a time of fellowship, sharing, and prayer. Once again in the afternoon, writers will go their separate ways for a couple of hours.

We’ll end our time together by giving folks a chance to share what they accomplished throughout the day.

Please RSVP by September 12th to Debbie Crom at debbie_crom@yahoo.com. You can also RSVP by responding to this email. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Amy Stanley at amystanleyauthor@gmail.com.

*If you’d like to stay later than 5:00 p.m., the Cedar Room is available until 10:00 p.m. Some of the support staff will remain there as long as you want to stay. You will be on your own for supper.

Great Time Together

There were lots of laughs, sweet fellowship, and God-ordained connections (if you know, you know) at the annual Wordsowers Christmas Party. We also learned about the mystery of Christmas (and yes, it has everything to do with Easter).

Starting front and center and going clockwise: Linda, Anisa, Sassy, Kat, Karen, Ben, Debbie, Lollie, Roger, and Miranda.
We were thrilled at the God-ordained connections. Don’t you love it when God does that?

Wordsowers’
Anniversary Celebration:
God Has Blessed Us With 25 Years of Friendships

Join us as we celebrate twenty-five years of Wordsowers. Our very own Kat Crawford is the special guest speaker for the evening. Lee Warren, the unofficial Wordsowers’ historian who has hung around Wordsowers since the beginning, will share its history. Several former leaders and members will celebrate with us as well. Door prizes will be given away throughout the evening.

To God be the glory, great things He has done.

The anniversary party isn’t about who is or isn’t writing. It’s about hanging out with some great people whether you used to attend Wordsowers or just recently joined the group.

Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. We’re asking you to bring a side dish (fruit, veggie, salad, potato, etc.). The main course, dessert, and beverages will be provided.

Please RSVP the dinner by Monday, June 24th. You can text or call Debbie Crom at 402-238-2188. (Or you can respond to this newsletter’s email.) If you wish only to attend the meeting and not the dinner, plan on arriving around 6:45 p.m.

If you can’t attend but would like to videotape a greeting to others, text your video to Kat Parent at 402-230-0119. Kat is working on a slide show presentation and is looking for pictures from past Wordsowers events as well.

Zoom will not be available for this meeting but will resume at the August meeting.

*Wordsowers is not affiliated with Omaha Christian Center. They graciously allow us to use their facilities for the meetings.
